Setup & Administration¶
You maintain all administrative and setup items under the Setup tab on the main navigation strip.
Many aspects of the transform jobs in IMan depend on the items configured within this tab.
Administrative users have access to every function. Non-administrative users have access only to the Lookup Table Maintenance functions.
VBScript and Lookups¶
Lookups use VBScript functions to verify and locate key data. Counters generate Ids automatically where none exist in the external database.
When the external database is not flexible enough to allow data translation, you can create internal Lookup Tables within IMan. You define and maintain them from the screens within this tab.
You can set up VBScript Common Functions here. These are a shared group of functions that any VBScript-enabled transform can call.
Webservices¶
To import data from webservice applications, you need to configure authentication. You can use Basic Authentication or the more complex OAuth2 Authentication.
Setup Items¶
The Setup Items section holds the screens that configure what the transform jobs need to operate:
Database Connections¶
- Define the connection strings IMan uses to connect to an external database.
SMTP Server¶
- IMan needs the server details to send email.
- IMan's auditing function cannot work until you define an SMTP server.
POP3/IMAP Servers¶
- The mailboxes IMan reads inbound email from, over POP3 or IMAP. The Email controller and the Email task's mailbox actions use them.
Email Groups¶
- The recipients of the IMan Audit Reports (see Email Group).
FTP Server¶
- Before you can use any FTP task, define the authentication details for the FTP or SSH server here.
System Connectors¶
- Configure the authentication details for all connectors here, such as accounting/ERP, eCommerce, marketplaces and Concur.
File Services¶
The File Services section defines the cloud storage locations IMan can read from and write to, and provides a browser for their contents.
File Systems¶
- Defines an AWS S3 bucket, an Azure Blob container, or a OneDrive or SharePoint drive as a named, reusable location.
- Each authenticates with a certificate, not a stored key. Once defined, you can select it wherever IMan reads or writes files.
File Explorer¶
- Browses the contents of any configured file system. Use it to confirm it resolves where you expect and to organise the files within it.
WebApi¶
The WebAPI setup group defines the basic setup for endpoints, property sets and endpoint security.
API Endpoints¶
The primary setup for defining the Web API endpoints.
This screen also maintains endpoint-specific user security.
Property Sets¶
You can define sets of properties and values and associate them with Web Users. The properties and the user-specific values let you contextualise or parameterise requests by the associated user.
Web Users¶
Create, edit and delete WebAPI users, and maintain the property values associated with each user.
Scheduling & Monitors¶
There are several ways to schedule an integration. The main one is Scheduling.
The alternatives are File Events and Email Monitors. Both are event driven, triggered when a file is created or an email is received.
Security¶
You maintain security within IMan through User Setup. There, an administrator can add new users and edit or delete existing ones.
