Setup Items

Setup Items is a section of the Setup tab in the primary navigation strip. Its screens configure some of the things that an integration's transform jobs depend on.

Once defined, the setup items appear as options in drop-downs throughout the transform setup.

Database connections

A Database reader or writer transform uses the database connections defined here to connect to an external database. They appear in the database connection drop-downs within those transforms.

You can write a connection string into each transform by hand, but defining a database connection saves time when you use the same database for several connections.

SMTP Server

You must define at least one SMTP server before you can schedule any integration jobs.

IMan sends Audit Reports and the Email task's emails through these servers.

POP3/IMAP Servers

The mailboxes IMan reads inbound email from, over POP3 or IMAP, with a username and password or an Office 365 app registration.

The Email controller within read transforms and the Email task's mailbox actions use these settings.

Email Groups

IMan sends the Audit Reports set up on each transform's Audit Tab to the groups defined here. You must define a group before IMan can send an audit report.

Because you define the groups, you can send transform results to the people they concern.

FTP Server

An FTP server connection configured here becomes available in the FTP Task, which uses it to upload, download, move or copy data to or from that server's directory.

System Connectors

Configure the System Connectors that IMan uses to connect to external applications, for example Sage 300 or Sage CRM.
