VBScript & Lookups

VBScript & Lookups holds the settings for the following:

Lookups Setup & Maintenance

Wherever VBScript is supported, the Lookup & Data Cleanse Functions run a parametrised SQL query. The query can read an external database or a table held in the IMan database.

There are three setup screens. Which ones you use depends on the style of lookup:

  • Lookups Setup
    • For initial configuration of the lookups.
  • Lookups Table Setup
    • To define IMan's internal lookup table(s).
  • Lookups Table Maintenance
    • To maintain the values in IMan's internal lookup table(s).

The Lookup Function works anywhere VBScript does

You can use the Lookup Function in any area of IMan that supports VBScript.

Counters

Counters create unique sequential ids for records or transactions. The VBScript GetCounterSequence function generates each id from a counter you define here.

Generating customer numbers.

Common Functions

Common Functions store VBScript functions you use often. As with Lookups and Counters, you can call a Common Function from anywhere in IMan that supports VBScript.
