WebAPI Setup

Three screens under Setup define what the WebAPI listens for and who may call it. Set them up in the order below, because an endpoint names a property set and you assign a web user to an endpoint.

Custom Property Sets

A set of named properties whose values are held per web user. A request carries the values of the user that made it as Http.User.<property> fields. This lets one integration serve many callers differently.

API Endpoints

The routes the WebAPI answers, each with its method, timeout, throttling and security, and the web users permitted to call it. One endpoint answers one integration.

Web Users

The callers. For each one you set how it identifies itself, whether it must authenticate (with a token, a username and password, or OAuth client credentials), its throttling and its property values.

User Property & Request Relationship shows how IMan resolves the three when a request arrives.
