I'll add the Excel sheet
Thanks
John, alter the worksheet id from 1 to 0....the worksheet ids are zero based.
OK I did that and the error message is gone. However, each time I re-open the Worksheet ID defaults back to 1. Also, should I see records in the Preview window?
OK I was wrong on the default. It does retain 0. However, still no records
John, it's likely you need to add them manually (after the worksheet issue).
Simply...
- Go to Field Mapping tab.
- Press edit (pencil) on the grid.
- Select Import for each of the fields...and move through each field page.
- Press the Green tick to save.
Preview and presto!
Screenshot.
I checked and the Import check box was already set to True. So then deleted the transformation and started again, still no records. Field 14 say SYS.INPUTFILE does that matter? I noticed the screen says "Apply" not "Save" so am I missing something
Chrome is my browser is that OK?

I opened some of the other transformations e.g. SAMS200INVIMP - ... and have no records there either.
OK. Some good news. I started from scratch, checked all the Pre-requisites and set-up and my Excel Reader now returns records in Preview. So no idea what has changed.
Trying to set up a reader to and xls/xlsx file. Really simple layout, 10 records and on Refresh I get
"Index was out of range. Must be non-negative and less than
the size of the collection.
Parameter name: index"
