EZNPC How to master the Venator IV in Arc Raiders like a pro (No replies)

Master the Venator IV in Arc Raiders as a fast, clutch sidearm; swap from your slow primary, slide into cover, land crisp twin bursts, and clean up wounded targets before they can even react.

A lot of Raiders try to use the Venator IV like it is some kind of pocket assault rifle, then wonder why they are back in the spawn screen thirty seconds later. This pistol is a closer, not an opener, and if you keep that in mind it suddenly makes a lot more sense in real fights, especially when you already know how to manage your gear or even like buy game currency or items in EZNPC to speed things up. The IV is the top of its line, keeps that familiar twin-shot behavior, but bumps the fire rate and reload so it feels sharp and twitchy. Handle it with a bit of discipline and it turns into a nasty little finisher that cleans up messy engagements.

Twin Shot And Trigger Discipline

The twin-shot mechanic is where most people trip up. Every time you pull the trigger, you are committing to two rounds, and if you panic and spam, those rounds go everywhere except where they need to be. You can not just hold the trigger and hope; you tap, correct your crosshair, then tap again. Think of it like a beat you have to stay on, almost like a tiny rhythm game running in the background of the fight. When an enemy is limping away on low health and you catch them in the open, that faster cadence lets you empty the mag in a blink, but those bullets still have to land. Against heavy armor it feels weak if you are hitting body plates, yet once you learn to ride the recoil from upper chest into the head, those bursts suddenly shred weak spots.

Positioning And Range

The Venator IV really hates long sightlines. If you try to hold a big open lane with it, you are basically donating your life to whoever brought a proper rifle. It lives in tight spaces: corridors, cluttered cover, awkward corners where you can break vision for a second. When you get caught in the open, your only hope is to slide, jump a piece of cover, or cut a weird angle so the other player has to reset their aim. In those little windows, you snap to the upper torso, let the recoil carry the second round a bit higher, and most of the time that Raider just drops. It ends up feeling like a card you only play when the plan falls apart and someone is suddenly right in your face, but when you play it at the right moment it bails you out.

Loadout Pairings And Ammo Habits

The gun makes way more sense once you think about what you pair it with. Running it alongside an SMG usually feels pointless, because both guns want the same range and role. The Venator IV really shines next to weapons that feel clumsy up close, like a slow marksman rifle or a big LMG with a painful ADS time. You know that awful second where your primary runs dry mid-fight and you are stuck in a reload animation while someone is sprinting at you? That is when the Venator comes out. Swap speed is quick enough that you can draw, pump two or three bursts into them, and be back in control before they realise you changed weapon. Just keep in mind it chews through ammo, so if you pull it, commit. Do not reload in the open; duck behind cover, top it off, and go back to your main gun once things calm down.

Using Venator IV As A True Finisher

When you treat the Venator IV as a finisher rather than a main gun, your whole approach shifts and your decision making improves. You start softening targets with your primary, then mentally mark the ones who are one or two bursts away from going down, ready to swap the moment they rush or you misplay your position. Over time you get a feel for which fights are "Venator fights" and which are not, and that instinct saves a lot of runs. If you are already thinking about optimising your kit, whether that is fine-tuning perks or picking up specific ARC Raiders iteams, slotting this pistol into a heavy primary loadout gives you a safety net that still rewards aim and timing.
