Symptom:  I am able to connect to the SQL Database for the Sage 300 company in the Database Connections section on the Setup page, I have configured the System Connector appropriately for the Sage 300 Company, but I receive an error in the Sage 300 Connector when editing a Job that states "You must supply the correct User ID, Password and Database ID to open a session".  I am able to log into Sage 300 without any issues.  Adding a new connector (instead of opening existing sample jobs) still encounters the error.

Attempts:  

1. I turned on security in Sage 300, created a test user with a basic password, updated IMan System Connector settings = Error persists
2. Updated IMan permissions in Admin console to assign a specific windows user = Error persists

Solution:

1. Checked the PATH in the server's system variables
   • Noticed there is NO reference to Sage 300, included the Sage 300 path
2. I then had to turn off UAC through the registry on Server 2012 (even though UAC was set to never notify)
3. After restarting the server, permissions were reset for the application pool, services, etc.
   • I had to re-updated the permissions and then the connection was successful
