Attempt to perform Record Read without security authorization error on I/C Item Insert (5 replies)
Lisa, this error is a Sage300 security message.
If you're receiving an error in one company, but not in the others I would compare the security authorisations and the security groups for the IMan user between the two companies, particularly the different 'Inquiry' authorisations (which cause your 'Read' error).
Confirmed that in SQL, the security is the same for the user for all instances of this job (same job transforms but each inserts items into four different companies). Where else can we look for security differences?
Lisa, you need to look at the Security Authorisations & Security Groups in Sage300.
Does the 'IMan' user have Item Inquiry rights?
That's it!!! Thank you so very much for your time and input. It's much appreciated!!!!

We have a job that inserts new items into Sage 300. Similar import work for different companies but receiving this error on the I/C Item Insert for this company and was hoping to get some insight into the error.
