Email Task kills Preview Service (5 replies and 1 comment)
I did some further testing on this.
In the same iman install, I added an email task to an existing job and it was able to preview and run fine.
I tried removing the email tasks in the order import job (the one that was failing in Randy's tests above) and add them back, and it still fails in that job.
In preview, if you are in the email task and hit refresh, it will timeout and kill the preview process.
In scheduler, the job never gets past running the filter right before the email task. So it could be that something in the filter task didn't convert correctly going from iman 3.01 to iman 4.1.
We never see anything in the auditlog or error.log regarding these issues though.
I may try to remove the filter in question and re-add it to see if that will work. Otherwise we can look at this together in a support session.
Thanks!
Jeremy.
Removing the filter and email and adding them both back did not fix the issue.
The filter does return results in preview.
The email still times out and the preview process is killed.
Hi James - here is that config file you requested.
Let me know if you need anything else. I'm around early (afternoon your time) if you want to try anything else tomorrow.
had to zip the attachment...
Hello - is there any update on this issue?
It's been a project-stopper, it's basically a system-down that's preventing several new projects/tasks from getting started.
Thanks!
Issue was resolved by the following patch.
Thank you!
I have verified SMTP settings and Email Groups in the Setup screen, but when I attempt to send an email using the Email Task, it kills the Preview Service. The Email Task is attempting to send an email using the same FROM and TO as the Email Group test, which succeeded.
I looked in the Windows Event Viewer, and the following error appears each time the Preview Service is killed:
