Using Formula for "Email From" on the Email event (1 reply)
Hi Sue,
I'm afraid the Email Task does not yet support field extension for the from address.
I have logged IMAN-1231 in our development backlog to address this.

I know I've done a number of jobs where I have used a conditional formula as the email to, the email subject, parts of the email body, etc.
I assumed that I could do the same with the Email From field. I'm able to hard code each of the 3 Email From addresses in and the email event works, but when i use a conditional formula for it, it errors out on me: bad email address. (I also tried just putting one email address in the formula: [email protected] -- I also tried "[email protected]" with the check formula turned on. No luck.
If this feature isn't available, just let me know and I'll start the clunky process of building three separate filters/branches for that part of the job. (I already have a "branch" in the job - so I'll really have to build 6 filters. ugh!)
Thanks!
