Raoul, it could be a resource issue.
We've experienced an issue whereby Microsoft Security essentials slows down Tomcat to a crawl (at least with IMan). Try temporarily disabling the realtime check to see if it makes any difference.

I am getting a timeout when I attempt to do anything with the CRM Connector.
On closer inspection, it appears SData is responding extremely slowly, where the schema is taking up to 30 or more seconds to respond.
