Optional fields on detail lines when Shipping/invoicing OE Orders (4 replies)
Mary, try setting the optional field setup 'Value Set' to Yes.
Conversation continued offline, but for the benefit of anyone else who's trying to do this, I tried all possible combinations of the Value set, and Required optional field settings with Auto insert=Yes, and I also tried the Sage300 connector set to Insert and Insert/update. None of them behaved the same way as the Sage300 UI - copying optional fields in the detail lines of the order to the detail lines of the shipment and invoice. In the end I used AccpacERPLookup to find the values of the optional fields in the order lines, and set the result to new fields which I mapped to the optional fields in the Sage Shipment connector. This worked.
We are having a similar issue with this as well, but with Customers
- "Value Set" = Yes
- "Default Value" = [populated with value]
- "Value Description" = [populated with value]
- "Required" = Yes
- "Auto Insert" = Yes
When I try to update an existing Customer, I get an error about the Optional Field not being set, but "Auto Insert" is set to Yes and "Default Value" is populated.
Randy, can you confirm the IMan and Sage300 version?
In OE Optional fields, I have 2 optional fields (EDIPRICE and ICCTNINN) in Order Details set to Value set=No, Required=No, Auto insert=No
In Shipment details and in Invoice details they are set to Value set=No, Required=No, Auto insert=Yes
I have an order with two lines, both of which have correct values in both optional fields.
In Sage300 UI, order entry or shipment entry, if I ship and invoice an order it copies the Optional fields from the Order details to the Shipment and Invoice details.
In IMan Sage300 connector, OE Shipment, Insert - I cannot get it to copy the optional fields from the order to the shipment and invoice. It reports an error "Value for Shipment Details optional field EDIPRICE has not been set" and fails to ship the order.
I have also tried setting the fields in Shipment details and in Invoice details to Value set=No, Required=Yes, Auto insert=Yes, with the same result.
Does anyone have any more luck with this?
