4.1 PU1 - Error whilst loading Excel file.\r\rCannot recognize current file type. (3 replies)
Even after upgrade on client's machine, the issue remains. Additionally, I found the following weird behavior:
- Reading the file using a static file name works on my local, AND on the client's machine.
- Reading the file using a wildcard (*.xslx) works on my local, but NOT on the client's machine.
- Using a wildcard even with no files in the directory throws the error on the client's machine.
I plan on requiring the client to use a static filename for the Excel files going forward, but this clearly needs to be fixed.

We've seen this issue before when there are hidden files in the directory matching the wildcard.
We have been using IMan (4.1 PU1) to read data from Excel files for months, but on one particular Excel file, we started running into the error "Error whilst loading Excel file.\r\rCannot recognize current file type." When attempted on a machine running 4.2 PU3, it works.
Is it safe to assume that this was a known issue and fixed? If so, do you know if there is any workaround to get our current Excel file importing with our current IMan setup?
