Examples of Use

IMan can integrate data with applications and extract data from them, so it has a broad range of uses.

Billing System Integration

IMan extracts invoice data from an external billing system and inserts it into an internal accounting system. It can also update customer records in the accounting system from the external data it receives.

This can also run in reverse, extracting data from an external accounting system into an internal billing system. The direction depends on where the master data is maintained.

CRM

IMan can transfer prospect and customer accounts, and sales data such as quotes or orders, from the CRM to the accounting system.

The flow can also run in reverse. Master data, such as stock items and product groups, and transactional data can update the CRM with each customer's accounting and historical activity from the accounting or ERP system.

Data Uploads and Master Data Maintenance

With IMan's data transformation and Excel support, you can maintain data and enter transactions in Excel before uploading them to an accounting, CRM or ERP system.

eCommerce

A typical eCommerce integration includes:

  • Importing orders from the eCommerce platform into the accounting or ERP system. IMan can transform the data and apply the customer's business rules before it exports the orders.
  • Creating additional transactions from the imported orders, such as order prepayments, new or updated customer accounts, and purchase requests or orders.
  • Uploading customer and item master data from the accounting or ERP system to the eCommerce system.
  • Uploading payment and shipping data to the eCommerce platform at the end of the sales cycle, so customers can track their orders.
  • See eCommerce integration solutions for more information.

Distribution, Warehousing and Shipping Integration

Logistics integrations built with IMan have included:

  • Downloading items, sales and purchase orders from the ERP
  • Creating despatches, shipments and receipts from WMS/3PL confirmations.
  • Uploading stock adjustments and cycle counts.
  • Implementing logic for handling back-orders for both sales and purchase orders.
  • Triggering shipment/despatch documents in ERP, as well as shipping and handling charges from rating operations.
  • Custom logic for a project, such as special handling of marketing materials on sales orders, or purchasing, movement and adjustment operations for packaging and consumables.

Manufacturing System Integration

IMan integrates manufacturing systems either at stock (inventory) level or at financial level, loading invoices or journals into the accounting or ERP system.

Process & Transaction Automation and Alerting

IMan integrates through the API of several Sage products, so you can automate complex transaction processing within a single company or across several companies.

The screenshot above shows an integration in IMan's graphical interface that moves shipments between Sage 300 and Shopify. It also uses the email task to alert the relevant users to the integration's results.

Purchase & Requisition System Integration

IMan can pass transactions from point of sale to the accounts system, or upload supplier and account master data to the purchasing system. It works with a variety of POS systems and integrates them with the Nominal (G/L), Sales and Inventory modules of an accounting or ERP system.

IMan can also pass purchase order invoice data from the purchasing system into the internal accounting system.

Banking Transaction Entry & Reconciliation

IMan can import bank entries and sales ledger receipts, automating manual processes that are otherwise long and error-prone.
