Appendix 1 – Data Exports (SQL to XML)

Estimated time

Estimated time: 1 Hr

IMan exports data as well as importing it.

In this exercise you configure an export. It queries the Sage database directly for customers and their delivery addresses, transforms the data a little and writes the result to an XML file.

The integration has the same shape for both products: a Database Reader on a shared connection, a Hierarchy to split the delivery addresses onto their own level, a Filter to drop the empty ones and an Xml Writer. The table and column names differ, and so does the resulting document. Pick the walkthrough for your product.

  • Sage 200 >

SLCustomerAccount joined to CustDeliveryAddress, producing a DeliveryAddress transaction and an Address node per delivery address

  • Sage 300 >

ARCUS joined to ARCSP, producing a ShipLocation transaction and a ShipLocation node per ship-to location
