Webservices Assistance (1 reply)
Michael, there are a few things:
a. Confirm this is a REST API; REST follows REST principles i.e. GET/POST/PUT/PATCH. If the API is SOAP or some sort of mashup of SOAP & REST, IMan can integrate, but it get's complicated, quickly.
b. Authentication - What is their authentication method? IMan supports Basic Authentication (& variants) and Two-Legged OAuth. Other methods such can be shoe horned into the OAuth, but again it can get complicated.
c. Throttling - Not presently supported with the current version (but we have this in the development pipeline).
d. Paging of Results - Again not supported, but in the pipeline to support.
We have a request from a client to connect to one of their solutions, and the primary method of integration is using their REST API.
We have not used the webservices or JSON options within the software, and I am seeking out a best practice for a starting point with IMan and a REST API connection. I am making sure we have a solid direction without making too many assumptions.
