Mary, that's correct, and unfortunately there's no way presently to limit the audit emails to only when a file downloaded.
If you alter the 'Send Audit Email' to 'Only on Transform Error' you will receive an audit email when there's a failure. This does mean you don't get one on success.
A thought. If I added a transform after the download to read the file, would that mean that if it reads a record it would then trigger "has processed data"?

I have a job which does 2 ftp downloads and nothing else. It is running successfully every hour, but only finds anything to download a few times a week. We would like it to send audit email if, and only if, a file is downloaded.
I have set it to send audit emails when "has processed data" but it does not seem to be doing so. Is that because an ftp download does not "process data"? How would you suggest achieving the required emails?
